New Speargun

Just got my new Omer Speargun after 10 days of waiting and i must say I'm impressed i have yet to use it but I'm making plans this weekend to go out with the old folks on their boat and go for a spear. So i can really so much about it since i have yet to use it in the water but the feel and weight of the overall gun is great. The initials O.M.E.R are inscribed into almost everything and the Camouflage of the gun is distributed evenly.

Right now everything is still stock on it but ill be visiting my local BCF store to grab a new O.M.E.R Speargun Reel and another band soon, I'm also going to look into getting a bigger stock as the one that is attached tn the gun now is small and close to the handgrip which will make loading a bit harder, another small problem is that it is a open ended spear gun which i have no experience with and i am unsure that i have it loaded properly (See Pics) so ill be seeing how it goes in the water i guess.

Snow Trip

Last Christmas i went to Niseko which is a small town in the mountains of north japan for a snowboard trip with my cousin and i must say it was amazing, never before have i seen snow like the snow we boarded in. the snow we found in certain areas was at least almost 3m high. We spent a week there and then another week in Tokyo exploring the shops and restaurants. While in Niseko we stayed in a 5 star hotel and the receptionist and other staff that worked there were very good English speakers so we didn't have to speak Japanese every second we were out.

The Slopes stayed open until around 10:30pm so we spent every night snowboarding until then and after we would come back for a hot shower, dinner and a movie (we had brought many movies to watch on the laptop).
Our food was sourced from the local mini-mart and when we weren't at the Irish pub we were at the hotel eating Raman,Chocolate,Fried Chicken, and sushi (not generally in that order).

Few Photos from the trip in Niseko:

The week we spent in Tokyo was great unfortunately my battery on my camera broke and wouldn't charge so i didn't get any photos apart from the ones on my mobile and what i took on my video camera. We went to Akiba (short for Akiabara) twice which is the electric town of Tokyo. It was amazing store after store of Computer's/parts, Game Stores, Anime Stores, TV Stores and Parts stores. However the best deals can be found in the smaller shop's which stock the same equipment but for about 15%-25% Less. There i picked up my new unlocked iphone and went to the hobby stores to pick up a few Warhammer bitz that i never have seen for sale anywhere else as well as a few Collectible's (including a Metal Gear Solid Snake Figurine priced at over $300AUD but got it there for $50AUD an absolute bargain.

So yeah the week pretty much repeated that but with a few more restaurant dinners and train trips.

Was an amazing 2 weeks and ill definitely go back.

First Post

Ok well first post here.

Ive never really been into blogging but after reading other accounts and talking to friends it seems to be a good way too not only write down my thoughts but it i can post my project's etc, here and refer to them if i need to.

Work was great last week had 4 dive trips to do and a class on Sunday, however the amount of tourists that come to Australia that don't actually know how to swim is quite a few i had to refund 2 tickets to a couple from Japan because when i had them in the water they could not stay afloat and where complaining of leg cramps so i had them sent back to shore and concentrated on the rest of the group. The highlight of the week would have to be with my Thursday Dive Group everyone did great and we had no problems with the air tanks plus we had a number of dolphins swim amongst us as well as a wobbegong shark that was just over 1m long which many of the tourists found amazing and they were talking about how they got to swim with a shark all the way back to shore.

Phil Mangaged to get a photo as well:

So all in all a good week.
